Jonathan Soon-Shiong
Jonathan Soon-Shiong is the CEO of 2Monkeys Media Group Inc. ("2Monkeys") and also the CEO of Ignition Media & Entertainment Inc ("IME").
Jonathan, a senior media and broadcast executive focusing on TV and online media, has extensive experience in business strategy and structuring, as well as digital and finance strategy. Jonathan also acts as an Executive Producer and Development Executive on 2Monkey’s and IME's various projects as well as an Executive Consultant to companies in the industry. In addition, Jonathan was also the CEO of Quantum Entanglement Entertainment, a transmedia company that specialized in producing video games, tv series and feature films.
Jonathan was also the CEO of Fluid Mobility Inc, a global SaaS company, President of a Marketing Automation Cloud Services start-up, and before that the Deputy Executive Director, Strategy & Finance (the CFO's Deputy) at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (“CBC”) where he was responsible for business strategy and development as well as co-managing several groups: Strategy & Planning, Business Development, Strategic & Competitive Analysis, and Finance. Jonathan provided business expertise and counsel on strategy, operational improvements, business development and acquisitions, mergers, and partnership opportunities. Jonathan was instrumental in a myriad of CBC’s strategies, including CBC’s digital, music, multi-channel, acquisitions, news, local, partnership, new ventures, and corporate 5 year strategy, as well as CBC’s financial restructuring.
Prior to CBC, Jonathan was the VP & Managing Director, Strategy & Corporate Development at Torstar Corp’s largest subsidiary Metroland Media Group, Partner at Toronto advisory firm Marathon Capital Advisors, an investment banker at various global investment banks in London, UK completing over $16bn worth of transactions (Deutsche Bank, Dresdner Bank, and CitiBank,) and also a Chartered Accountant at KPMG in both the UK and Canada. Jonathan received his MBA from University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business.
